This recognition is a part of the 2020 Automotive Loyalty Awards from IHS Markit and we’re so proud that our brand was honored due to the fact that it rose 9 percentage points from 2019, a bigger boost in loyalty than any other car make.

There are 2 factors that IHS Markit felt that played into the improvement in loyalty to our brand, the first being an aggressive leasing strategy. IHS Markit's Loyalty Determination Methodology
For the past 2 and a half decades, IHS Markit has been tracking automotive loyalty. The company defines loyalty as a household that owns a new vehicle returning to the car shopping market and either buys or leases another new vehicle of the same make, model or manufacturer.
The basis of the winners of the 2020 Automotive Loyalty Awards is an analysis done on 12.4 million new retail vehicle registrations in the United States during the 2020 calendar year. Loyalty applies whether it’s a replacement for a previously owned/leased vehicle or an additional car for the household.
