The 2023 Tonale offers two available powertrains, a standard 256-horsepower turbo 2.0-liter inline-four gas engine paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission or a more powerful Plug-in Hybrid that features a 272-horsepower 1.3-liter turbo 4-cylinder engine and a 121-horsepower electric motor and is capable of operation on a combination of electric and gas. The Plug-In Tonale features a six-speed automatic transmission and 15.5-kWh lithium-ion battery pack that offers an estimated over 30 miles of electric-only driving range. All models offer standard All-Wheel Drive and a fully independent suspension.
